Colombia is getting more and more attention from the outside world lately. And Fewer people fear to come to Colombia these days.
Lately, we saw a lot of Digital Nomads, being interested in Colombia. Especially in big cities like Medellin and Bogota. But, in order to sustain their lifestyle, they need good internet.
Is the internet in Colombia good enough?
The internet is way enough for most people who need the internet on a daily basis whether it is for pleasure or work.
It is enough for us, to upload videos, answer emails and to have Skype consultations. In a lot of western countries, you get way faster internet compared to Colombia, but honestly, after a certain point, it doesn’t make a difference anymore.
You can have the fastest internet in the world, but if you have a laptop that can handle the speed why even bother paying for higher speed. The “average” user including Digital Nomads won’t have any issues with the internet.
YES, there are internet outages but usually not longer than max 1 h. And it doesn’t happen often. If that’s a “No, No” for someone, then you may want to reconsider working here as a Digital Nomad long-term.
