Colombia

What Is The Quality Of Life In Colombia?

The great thing about Colombia is you can enjoy the open and friendly Latin culture of Colombia. Life here is great. Living in Colombia for us personally is more vibrant and exciting to back home. We can honestly say we enjoy the life here more than where we come from.

Life in Colombia is not all about work, work, work. Living abroad can be an adventure, especially in Latin America. We found the quality of life in Colombia increase with the modern infrastructure you have here and with the friendly people.

Cost Of Living In Colombia

The cost of living in Colombia is great because you can save up to 70% of what you are spending back home. Rents as low as USD 300.-/m for a 2 bedroom apartment. Many people have a cost of living in Colombia of about USD 1500-2000.-/m for a couple. So your Social Security or your Pension gives you so much more here in Colombia. Another thing the cost of living in Colombia gets you is, that you are able to afford top notch healthcare which can be sustainably lower (more than 80%) than in the US.

Panama

What Is The Quality Of Life in Panama?

What many Expats attract to Panama is the similarity in infrastructure (apartments, streets) to the US. It’s a great place to start your Latin Adventure. The friendly people, the acceptance of foreigners and the availability of English speaking locals, makes life easy to be able to relocate hassle free.

Relocation To Panama

Panama is one of the easiest places to relocate to. The big Expat community, the relatively easy process of getting a visa and much more an Expat moving abroad wants to have can be found in Panama. It’s no wonder many first time Expats move to Panama.

Ecuador

Ecuador Lifestyle

The lifestyle in Ecuador is mostly very relaxed. The country is stable and allows foreign investors to easily acquire land and real estate. You can live in the mountain city of Cuenca where you can stroll through the nice streets, or you can lay on the untouched beaches that are readily available on the coast of Ecuador.

Ecuador Cost Of Living

Similar to Colombia, Ecuador has a very low cost of living. Like Colombia you can live in a city in Ecuador on USD 1500.-/m as a couple. If you live in a small fishing village on the coast of Colombia, you are able to cut the cost of living to USD 800.-/m including rent. So imagine the cost of living when you own your house or apartment.

Medellin (Colombia)

Cost Of Living In Medellin

The great thing about Colombia is you can enjoy the open and friendly Latin culture of Colombia. Life here is great. Living in Colombia for us personally is more vibrant and exciting to back home. We can honestly say we enjoy the life here more than where we come from.

What is really crazy though is that you can live in the modern city of Medellin at USD 1500-2000.-/m for a couple. We for example are able to live for 1300.-/m. That cost of living includes rent, food, transport… for us two and a dog. So that makes living in Medellin as an Expat even more enjoyable.

Life In Medellin

The Paisa (Medellin) culture in the city is why we chose to live here. Medellin gives us the right mix between modern and traditional. You can find everything here from the Mom-and-Pops-Store to the big supermarket, the fancy mall to the traditional Park. Medellin offers everything what we were looking for to live in Colombia. Medellin is our Expat dream location.
