Special Cost Of Living Colombia | How Much We Spend On The Bare Minimum (2020)

Cost Of Living For A Couple

The current situation changed a lot of things, and one of the things that have changed for us is our Cost Of Living. Not only do we spend less overall but on top of that our rent got cheaper because the COP dropped.

This Cost Of Living is NOT representative as a “normal” monthly cost of living!

In this video, Sam will just talk about the bare necessities. Take into account that we can’t go out as we please. We are in a total lockdown and have the Pico y Cedula system we have to follow.

The Pico y Cedula means that the last digit on your Colombian ID card (or Passport), determines on which days you’re allowed going out for groceries and other necessities.

And because of those restrictions, we are not able to use any public transportation like the metro or taxis and neither can we meet friends, eat out etc.

After going through the numbers we realized how much we spend on outdoor activities and saw how much potential there is to save even more money.

So again, this is not a video to show you how much you will actually spend during “normal” times. But it should give you an idea of what is possible if you live frugally.

Find out more in the video.
